Why get the TBE vaccine?
The TBE vaccine protects against Tick-borne Encephalitis (TBE), a viral infection of the brain and spinal cord that is transmitted through tick bites.
Tick bites can lead to symptoms such as fever, headache, nausea, vomiting and fatigue. In severe cases, long-term neurological damage such as brain inflammation (encephalitis) and persistent fatigue can occur.
About 35% of people with encephalitis develop permanent consequences, such as difficulty concentrating, hearing loss, balance problems, and paralysis.
There is no specific treatment for TBE. Therefore, vaccination is the best protection against the disease and its potentially serious complications.

About your TBE vaccine
Progress & protection:
The basic TBE vaccination course consists of 3 doses.
1. First dose on any day
2. Second dose two weeks after the first dose
3. Third dose 5-12 months after the second dose
After 2 doses you are protected for 1 year / After 3 doses you are protected for 3 years

A course with 3 connections costs 1,800 kr .
As a member of "danmark" you automatically receive a 50-75% refund.
If you want a single one, the price is 650 kr.

Vaccinen indeholder inaktiveret TBE-virus.
Hvem bør vaccineres?
Personer over 1 år og derover med arbejde eller langvarigt ophold i lokalområder, hvor sygdommen findes.
Vaccinationsdosis:
Primærvaccination består af tre doser. Der kan eventuelt være behov for boostervaccination.
Børnedosis anvendes i aldersgruppen 1 år til og med 15 år, fra 16 år anvendes voksen dosis.
Hvem bør ikke vaccineres?
I tilfælde af akut sygdom ledsaget af feber bør vaccinationen udskydes. Personer, som har haft alvorlige bivirkninger ved tidligere vaccination med vaccinen. Personer med alvorlig allergi overfor et eller flere af indholdsstofferne f.eks. æg. I tvivlstilfælde henvises til egen læge.

Rødme, hævelse og ømhed på injektionsstedet, hovedpine, utilpashed og feber.

Which groups are covered, and how much do you get back from “Denmark”?
- If you are under 25 you get 75% refunded, and everyone over gets 50%.

Can you guarantee that you have enough vaccines for your 3rd visit?
Yes. For all vaccination courses that are started, vaccines are set aside so that we can ensure that we have enough to complete the course.
Can you have an allergy to the vaccine?
The vaccine is made from chicken protein, and people with egg and chicken allergies should not receive it. We ask everyone before giving the vaccine.
I have already received a TBE vaccine before - can I continue the course with you?
Yes, we can complete your course or provide additional boosters.
Is the vaccination registered in DDV?
Yes. All vaccines we give are registered in DDV with the corresponding batch number.
Can I see my vaccine somewhere?
Yes, all vaccines performed at Valida Health are visible to you on sundhed.dk
Can I get other vaccines at the same time?
Yes, you can receive a maximum of 3 vaccines on the same day.
Can you come out and vaccinate me?

Do you also vaccinate children?
Yes, we vaccinate children as young as 2 years old.
