At Valida Health, we are also experiencing a growing interest in testosterone, but we differentiate ourselves from many other players by having a holistic approach to men's health. We do not see testosterone as a quick fix, but as one possible part of a larger and individual health optimization with a focus on lifestyle changes, mental well-being and hormonal balance.
We therefore offer a wide range of examinations and treatments – including blood tests, microbiome tests, DNA analyses and medical weight loss – to understand and support the individual man's health in depth. Treatment is always based on a thorough medical assessment, where we inform about both the effects and possible side effects, so that the patient can make informed decisions.
Our goal is to support men in achieving better health and quality of life through long-term and evidence-based solutions.
A new article in Berlingske focuses on the significant increase in testosterone supplementation among Danish men – a development that, according to a senior physician and clinical professor of hormone and bone diseases at Aarhus University, is cause for concern. Men aged 45-65 in particular are seeking treatment for symptoms such as low sex drive, fatigue and weight gain. He warns that testosterone supplements are often given even though levels are still within the normal range, and he points out the risk of side effects such as blood clots and high blood pressure. Instead, he recommends lifestyle changes as a first step.
In the article "Men increasingly want the 'elixir of youth'. But now professor warns against the trend" , published by Berlingske on April 9, 2025, several experts speak out about testosterone treatment. Valida Health contributes with our experiences and perspective in the field.
