The Hair Package analyzes:

  • Long-term blood sugar (HbA1c)
  • Vitamin B12
  • Vitamin D

Depending on your gender, you will gain thorough insight into your hormonal levels, which greatly influence your hair.

For women:

  • FSH (Follicle-stimulating hormone)
Shows how the ovaries function – imbalance can affect hair growth through altered hormone production.
  • LH (Luteinizing hormone)
Reveals ovulation and hormone balance – disturbances can be linked to hair loss, e.g., with PCOS.
  • Estradiol (E2)
The most important estrogen for hair – low levels can lead to thinner, weaker hair.
  • Progesterone
Supports hormone balance and counteracts androgens – low levels can contribute to increased hair loss.
  • Testosterone
Elevated levels can lead to hormonal hair loss (androgenetic alopecia) and thinner hair.
  • Hemoglobin (Hb)
Shows blood's oxygen transport – low levels can cause fatigue and negatively affect hair follicles.
  • Ferritin
Reflects the body's iron stores – low levels are one of the most common causes of hair loss in women.
  • TSH (Thyroid-stimulating hormone)
Controls metabolism – imbalance can lead to both hair loss and altered hair quality.

For men:

  • P-Testosterone
Reflects total testosterone level – imbalance can affect hair loss, especially through conversion to DHT, which is the main cause of male pattern hair loss.
  • Prolactin
Elevated levels can inhibit testosterone production and thus indirectly contribute to hair loss.
  • Prostate-specific antigen (PSA)
Primarily used to assess the prostate – relevant for hormonal treatment, as changes in testosterone can affect both PSA and hair loss.
  • Lutropin (LH)
Controls testosterone production – low or high levels can indicate hormonal imbalance that affects hair growth.
  • Follitropin (FSH)
Reflects testicular function – imbalance can be a sign of hormonal disturbances that indirectly affect hair.
  • Hematocrit
Shows the proportion of red blood cells – too low a level can reduce oxygen supply to hair follicles and affect hair growth.
  • Long-term blood sugar (HbA1c)
Reflects blood sugar over time – elevated levels can affect blood circulation and hormone balance, which can worsen hair loss.
