Frequently asked questions:
Do I need a referral?
No. You can book a hormone analysis directly with Valida Health without a referral.
What symptoms can be caused by low testosterone?
Low testosterone can be associated with fatigue, decreased sex drive, reduced muscle mass, increased body fat percentage, mood swings, and low energy, among other things. However, these symptoms can also have other causes, and a hormone analysis can help clarify whether hormones play a role.
Does it hurt?
The blood test itself takes a few minutes and is experienced by most as a brief prick.
How do I book an appointment for a local blood test?
To have a blood test taken near you, you must first book an online/telephonic blood test.
At the booked time, you will have a brief initial consultation with one of our healthcare professionals. Here, you will agree on which hospital you wish to have the blood test taken at. We will then order the blood test and ensure that it is ready in the system.
Once the blood test has been ordered, you must book an appointment for the blood draw yourself at the desired hospital. Afterwards, you can show up and have your blood test taken.
When will I get a response?
You can view your blood test results on sundhed.dk just 1-2 working days after the test is taken. Our nurse will then review your results and contact you by phone within 2-3 working days for a thorough review of the results. The conversation also gives you the opportunity to ask questions and receive advice about your results.
How can you help afterwards?
After your blood test, our healthcare professionals can make an overall assessment of your situation based on both your blood test results and the symptoms you are experiencing. If relevant, we can offer hormone therapy, which can help restore estrogen levels and relieve symptoms associated with menopause. The treatment is always tailored individually based on your needs and health situation.
What does the hormone analysis cost? And what is included?
The hormone analysis costs DKK 2,000 and includes an initial consultation where our healthcare professional reviews your situation and symptoms. Additionally, the process includes blood sampling either at our clinic in Hellerup or at a local hospital near you, as well as a subsequent phone review of your blood test results with personalized advice.
Can other blood test markers be added?
Yes. You can always add more blood test markers if you wish. When you book your appointment, you will have the option to choose a range of relevant markers as add-ons.
If you require analyses that are not included among these, we recommend a tailor-made blood test package. This process begins with a free initial consultation, where we will review your needs together and find the solution that best suits you. You can book an appointment that suits you here.
