What does a health check cost? Prices and packages at Valida Health

21-07-2026

A health check gives you insight into the state of your body before symptoms may appear – but what does it actually cost, and which package should you choose? The price of a health check depends on how comprehensive it needs to be and which specific values you want examined. In this post, we review the prices of the various health checks at Valida Health, what each includes, and how to find the package that suits your needs.

What does a health check include?

A health check at Valida Health is based on a thorough blood test analysis, which can be supplemented with measurements such as blood pressure and pulse, body fat percentage, oxygen saturation in the blood, and any necessary scans. The purpose is to provide you with a comprehensive picture of your health status and detect any imbalances or risk factors, often long before you would experience symptoms.

Prices for health checks at Valida Health

We offer several different health checks, depending on how comprehensive or targeted you want it to be:

  • Vitamin & Mineral Health Check – DKK 1,500. Targeted for those primarily wanting an overview of their vitamin and mineral levels.
  • All-around Health Check – DKK 2,500. A broader check of the most common health markers.
  • Fatigue Package Health Check – DKK 2,500. Targeted for those experiencing persistent fatigue and wishing to find a possible cause.
  • Food & Intolerance Health Check – DKK 3,000. For those who suspect food intolerance or wish to map reactions to specific foods.
  • Complete Blood Test Analysis (Comprehensive Health Check) – DKK 4,500. Our most extensive analysis, which includes iron status, thyroid function, blood sugar, cholesterol levels, vitamin D, B12 and folate, liver and kidney values, inflammation markers, and hormonal values such as testosterone, FSH, and LH.

If you also wish for a scan such as CT, MRI, DEXA, or echocardiography as part of your health check, this will be added as needed and assessed individually based on your symptom profile during the initial consultation.

What is included in the complete blood test analysis?

Our most comprehensive health check – the complete blood test analysis for DKK 4,500 – is designed to provide a broad picture of the body's function across several organ systems. The analysis includes, among other things:

  • Hemoglobin and ferritin, used to assess iron status and potential anemia.
  • TSH, T3, and T4, for assessing thyroid function.
  • HbA1c and glucose, central for screening for diabetes and insulin resistance.
  • Cholesterol, HDL, LDL, and triglycerides, for assessing cardiovascular risk.
  • Vitamin D, B12, and folate, which are often examined in cases of fatigue, reduced immune function, or neurological symptoms.
  • Liver and kidney values such as ALAT, creatinine, and albumin, for assessing organ function.
  • Inflammation markers such as CRP and leukocytes, which can indicate infection or chronic inflammation.
  • Testosterone, FSH, and LH, in cases of suspected hormonal imbalances in both men and women.

You can read more about the individual analyses and other blood test packages on our page about blood tests.

Why choose a comprehensive health check instead of individual blood tests?

Many of the symptoms that lead people to consider a blood test – such as fatigue, mood swings, or unexplained weight changes – can be caused by several different things at the same time. Low iron, reduced thyroid function, vitamin deficiency, and hormonal imbalance can, in practice, produce overlapping symptoms. By testing broadly in a comprehensive health check, you avoid having to book multiple separate blood tests, and you also receive a professional health assessment of how your various values interact – instead of looking at a single number in isolation.

What affects the price of a health check?

The price primarily depends on how many markers are included in the blood test analysis, and whether additional examinations such as blood pressure measurement, body fat percentage measurement, or diagnostic imaging are added. A targeted check – for example, solely vitamins and minerals – will therefore be cheaper than a complete analysis covering everything from hormone status to liver and kidney function. The initial telephone consultation helps ensure that you do not pay for examinations that are not relevant to you.

How a health check at Valida Health works

Regardless of which package you choose, the process follows the same four steps:

  • Book an appointment for an initial telephone consultation.
  • Initial consultation. Here, we will together tailor the health check that best suits your symptoms and wishes.
  • The health check itself is carried out either at our clinic in Hellerup or at a hospital near you.
  • Telephone follow-up, where our healthcare professionals review your results and any next steps with you.

Is a health check covered by health insurance?

Some health insurance policies fully or partially cover the cost of a health check or specific examinations, while others do not. It is always recommended to contact your insurance company directly to clarify what your specific policy covers before booking an appointment.

How long does it take to get the results of my health check?
After your sample collection, your results are analyzed, and you will then be contacted for a telephone follow-up consultation where our healthcare professionals will review the figures with you and explain what they mean for your specific health.
